Back to the Fatherland
A film by Kat Rohrer & Gil Levanon

Gil and Kat have been friends since college. Gil is from Israel, the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors; Kat is from Austria, the granddaughter of a Nazi officer.

Through them we meet other young men and women whose grandparents were murdered or persecuted during the war. What's interesting is that many have decided to move back to 'the Fatherland,' a choice their families don't agree with.

Why would they do this? This revealing documentary explores the challenges and opportunities for reconciliation and understanding between the generations on both sides of the Shoah.

CHASING PORTRAITS
A film by Elizabeth Rynecki

Chasing Portraits continues to play to enthusiastic audiences around the country. If you haven't already, please consider this one-of-a-kind film.

Moshe Rynecki was a Warsaw-based artist who painted scenes of the Polish-Jewish community until he was murdered in the Holocaust. For more than a decade his great-granddaughter Elizabeth has searched for his missing art, with unexpected success.

Spanning three generations, Chasing Portraits is a deeply moving narrative of the richness of one man’s art, the devastation of war, and one woman’s unexpected path to healing.
